CATS - Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Colorado Advanced Technology Series?

The Colorado Advanced Technology Series (CATS) is our industry speaker series designed to introduce students at the University of Colorado to the technology leaders of local and national industries and to help the leaders of those companies explain what their companies do and why they're great places to work.

In each seminar, a technical or business leader from a local or national company describes new or existing technical developments, the motivation for developing that technology and the corporate environment. Each seminar is followed by refreshments and a chance for students and industry representatives to mingle and talk.

How do I stay informed about CATS seminars?

A mailing list is used to distribute messages related to CATS. You can subscribe to this mailing list at the CATS mailing list site. This moderated mailing list is only used to inform you about CATS events.

How can I remove myself from the mailing list about the CATS seminars?

If you want to remove yourself from the announcement list, you can unsubscribe at the CATS mailing list site.

How can my company schedule a presentation?

Contact Professor Dirk Grunwald to discuss available dates and particular areas of student interest.

Priority is given to presentations by alumni of our department or college and companies that are members of our industrial affiliates program, but the program is open to all companies.

When and where are the CATS seminars?

The talks are typically scheduled for 5:00pm Thursday afternoon in a "smart" classroom of the Engineering Center. Presentations are followed by receptions where students can speak one on one with the presenter. Need directions?

What other information technology events are available at CU?

If you're interested in information about Information Technology companies and events, there are a number of resources for talks, seminars and colloquia at the University of Colorado. The following is an (incomplete) list of technology series.
