Congratulations to Professor Alexander Wolf, newly elected Chair of the ACM Special Interest Group in Software Engineering (SIGSOFT). The term begins July 1.

As SIGSOFT Vice Chair, Professor Wolf saw the direct impact of SIGSOFT volunteers and developed a strong appreciation for the role they play. As Chair, Professor Wolf said he intends to "find ways to attract an even broader base of active volunteers and better tap the strengths of our members in Asia and Europe." He will also work to "cultivate the next generation of SIGSOFT members by involving students in volunteer activities."

The Association for Computing Machinery was founded in 1947 and is the world's first educational and scientific computing society.
