Dawe, White, Schelle, and Woitaszek Named Outstanding TAs

October 2003

Teaching is one of the most important missions of the Computer Science Department and TAs play a critical role in the Department's graduate and undergraduate teaching programs. To recognize the contributions of the TAs, the Graduate Committee presents Outstanding TA awards each semester.

Director of Graduate Studies Xiao-Chuan Cai announced the following Outstanding TAs for Spring 2003: Melissa Dawe, Elizabeth White and Graham Schelle. Each will receive a certificate of recognition and a cash prize of $200. In addition, Matthew Woitaszek was announced as a second time winner of the award. He will receive a certificate of recognition.

The winners were selected by the Graduate Committee based on the students' TA performance in the spring semester of 2003. The Graduate Committee evaluates all TAs in the department each semester and selects the best to receive the awards. The committee offers its congratulations to the winners and its thanks for their outstanding contribution to the Department of Computer Science.
