Connors Receives HP Itanium2 Grant

Assistant Professor Daniel Connors' research group is the recipient of 8 Itanium workstations and 2 Itanium2 servers. The Itanium cluster will have a broad impact on the University of Colorado's scientific programs as well as help illustrate how Itanium solutions can advance many high-performance computing challenges. Co-investigators on the grant include Dirk Grunwald, Andrew Pleszkun, and Amer Diwan. The Itanium grant was awarded to institutions doing research in advanced compiler technology, feed-back directed optimization, and computer architecture.

According to Hewlett-Packard:

HP is delighted to offer University of Colorado Boulder a research grant valued at approximately $163,496 at list price.
