8:00am - 5:30pm

Coors Events Center
University of Colorado Boulder

The Computer Science Department invites you to attend the 2nd Annual Industrial Affiliates Day, which will be held Friday, February 22 at the CU Coors Events Center. For further information on the event, contact Shana Lourie.

The annual meeting is an opportunity for the Department and affiliates to come together and discuss topics and issues of mutual interest. All faculty and students, as well as representatives from each member company, are encouraged to attend. The annual meeting features the following:

  • a few plenary talks of broad interest;
  • research overviews by faculty, and updates on recent developments and research results within the Department;
  • opportunities for breakout sessions where students, faculty, and affiliates can interact and discuss areas of mutual interest;
  • demonstrations of software and hardware systems developed by our research projects;
  • discussion of the educational mission and curriculum of the Department;
  • interaction with other affiliate members; and
  • opportunities to interview and discuss employment opportunities with our undergraduate and graduate students.
About our Industrial Affiliates Program

The goal of the Computer Science Industrial Affiliates Program is to facilitate meaningful collaboration between the Department and industry in the areas of research, development, education, and recruiting. This is accomplished by providing mechanisms for faculty, students, and representatives of affiliated companies to interact and exchange ideas in both scheduled and informal settings.

This exchange benefits all concerned. Faculty learn of important technical challenges facing industry. Industry affiliates learn of current research results relevant to their field and gain access to students seeking both permanent and summer employment. Students have an opportunity to interact with potential employers and perhaps secure future employment.
